Pune Gas signs a channel partner distribution agreement with FAS – Flüssiggas-Anlagen GmbH, a German company established in 1975 which is also in a similar business as Pune Gas. The agreement is specifically for the distribution of dry-type LPG Vapourisers which are manufactured by FAS in Germany. Even though the cost of this product is twice as that of its local competitive product in India, Pune Gas envisions that the advanced technology coupled with ease of operation gives these LPG Vapourisers an opportunity to capture market share in the country.
Also this year, 450 kg cylinders are launched by all three LPG marketing companies of the Indian Government to further augment the use of LPG for industries facing major space constraints. These cylinders can hold up to 425 kgs of LPG with a much higher off-take rate, a step up from the LOT type cylinders which could hold only 47.5 kgs of LPG. The company once again pioneers the system design and sets a benchmark for the entire country.
