SS Tube siphon for pressure gauges
Description
Siphons for pressure gauges are commonly used in LPG and natural gas systems for specific purposes
- Condensation Control: When gas is compressed or undergoes pressure changes, it can lead to the formation of condensation or moisture. Siphons help prevent moisture from reaching the pressure gauge by trapping it within the siphon tube. This is crucial because moisture can corrode and damage the gauge or affect its readings.
- Pulsation Damping: In some gas systems, pressure fluctuations or pulsations can occur. Siphons can help dampen these pulsations by creating a buffer between the gas and the pressure gauge. This ensures that the gauge readings are more stable and accurate.
- Vibration Isolation: Gas systems may experience vibrations due to equipment operation or external factors. Siphons can absorb and dampen these vibrations, preventing them from affecting the pressure gauge’s performance or accuracy.
- Pressure Gauge Placement: Siphons also provide flexibility in the placement of pressure gauges. They allow the gauge to be located away from the immediate source of pressure or temperature extremes, which can be more convenient for reading and maintenance.
