Introduction:
Britannia, the nation’s favorite food manufacturing company joined hands with us to fulfill their LPG and Piping solutions. A company with a history dating back to over a hundred years and having an annual revenue more than 9,000 crores with an expertise in the manufacture of Breads, Dairy Products, Cakes, Biscuits and Rusk.
Over the years Britannia has not only expanded its product basket but has also left its customers wanting some more. Owned and managed by the Wadia group this factory is located in the heart of Ranjangaon MIDC, Pune and it manufactures biscuits, snack food items and cakes.
Before Pune Gas:
Since the beginning Britannia has been using LPG fired burners to meet their manufacturing needs. With four vendors consecutively failing at designing the gas systems, this resulted in persistent inconsistencies in the manufacturing unit. To add to this since all four vendors were based outside Pune, minimum support was extended to Britannia thus leading to further delays. Britannia thus had to urgently look for an alternate vendor, this is where Pune Gas stepped in.
Pune Gas was recommended to Britannia by a baking oven OEM (original equipment manufacturer); an existing client of Pune Gas.
Britannia then paid Pune Gas a visit and discussed 2 of its major technical problems:
After Pune Gas:
A site survey was conducted followed by a technical discussion with Britannia. A proposal concerning the same was tabled and accepted. Subsequently the pressure regulating system and the metering systems were set up for both the new and existing plants.
The pipelines installed were of 80 NB and a 100 NB of approximately 1 kilometre in length was commissioned in 30 days. Post the intervention and commissioning done not a single leakage or inconsistency was recorded on Britannia’s premises.
